Today, we didn’t really have any activities, but my host mom, Daniel, and I went to this mall for the day.  It was pretty cool, Daniel’s school is on the top floor, so I hung out in the mall for most of the day.  My host mom later helped me buy a prepaid SIM card so I can use my phone in China.  I got a pretty good deal: 120 minutes and 512 MB of data for 78元.  That’s just over $12!  Then, we ordered movie tickets so Oscar and his cousins could take me to see Chappie.  It was a really fun movie, it had English audio but it had Chinese subtitles.  There were some puns and jokes that must not have translated, because there were times when I was the only one laughing in the theater.  It was kind of awkward.  Anyway, we got back pretty late that night and I got a pretty good night’s sleep, especially because we’ll be doing a lot of stuff tomorrow, which is Mother’s Day!
